Computer Display Design

A well-designed graphical user interface (GUI) enhances performance and reduces error.  This one-day course will provide students with hands-on experience in creating display screens and interfaces which accommodate the capabilities and limitations of users.  Displays are examined for screen organization and information content, graphics design, and ease of navigation between screens and/or windows.  Specific displays submitted by course registrants are used in the course.

Benefits:

·          Enables programmers and users to establish a common understanding of good screen design

·          Learn how to identify and accommodate system capabilities and limitations

·          Apply (GUI) display design principles to actual displays

·          Develop new display screens using human factors methods

·          Integrate controls and displays into the workstation
