Our courses enable participants to apply human factors principles and performance enhancement techniques to their work environment.  From office environments to industrial settings, these courses provide the background, methods and applications necessary to optimize the interface between the worker, the equipment, and the organization.  Engineers, operations staff, safety practitioners, managers and technical staff would benefit from these courses.  We have taught over 650 professionals industry-wide.

·          Fundamentals of Human Factors Engineering - provides the fundamental principles and methods of human factors engineering that are essential to understanding system and equipment design

·          Human Error Reduction & Accident Prevention - focuses on the background of human error, performance shaping factors, and strategies for reducing human errors and accidents

·          Human Factors in Instrumentation & Control Upgrade - provides the most recent human factors standards and methods which are useful for instrumentation and controls (I&C) upgrade

·          Distributed Control System Human Factors Principles - provides human factors guidelines and methods for effectively integrating Distributed Control Systems (DCS) into control room settings

·          Human Factors in Alarm & Annunciator Systems - addresses near term enhancements to existing annunciator systems as well as human factors guidelines for designing advanced alarm systems

·          Procedure Development & Upgrade - describes a complete program of human factors support for developing operating, maintenance and administrative procedures

·          Computer Display Design - provides students with hands-on experience in creating graphical interfaces which accommodate the capabilities of users

·          Human Factors Engineering for Control Room Interface Design & Evaluation - a one week course that provides participants with human factors guidelines for introducing new technologies into nuclear power plant control rooms.
