This intensive one-day course provides human factors guidelines and methods for effectively integrating Distributed Control Systems (DCS) into control room environments.  Practical approaches are discussed for identifying operator functional requirements and incorporating lessons learned data into designs.  Human factors guidelines are provided for configuring control room consoles and work areas.  Emphasis is also given to organizing displays and soft stations for easy operator access and in developing new screens and graphics.
