This two-day course focuses on the background of human error, performance shaping factors, human performance measurement, and human error identification and reduction.  Methods and techniques are reviewed for collecting and analyzing data, identifying remedies to safety problems, and implementing accident prevention measures.  The supervisor's role in error-reduction monitoring and the development of a human error reduction program is discussed with practical examples.  An error reduction practicum is provided to illustrate safety and error-reduction concepts.
